On June 26, 2009, the Ontario Ministry of Education released new Pupil Accommodation Review Guidelines following a review the accommodation review process and after receiving feedback from school districts, communities and parents. In order to reflect changes that have been incorporated into these new guidelines and to reflect upon the Ottawa Carleton District School Board's own experience with school accommodation reviews, a new school board policy to govern future reviews was presented to the Business Services Committee on May 12, 2010. Evaluating the utilization of our schools and the sustainability of local programs is a necessary part of maintaining strong community schools and a wide-range of programs for our students.
